Back in 2012, we were utterly charmed as she filmed her first music video in London, before featuring her on the front cover of the return issue g3 magazine. Since then, Ruby Rose hasn't stopped.
From moving to Los Angeles, to releasing a short film on genderqueer identity (Break Free) and meeting the love of her life (Roald Dahl's granddaughter, and clothing designer, Phoebe Dahl), she's been busy cementing her name on the Los Angeles scene... and now, Ruby is set to join the cast of acclaimed Netflix series, Orange Is The New Black, season three as Stella Carlin.
Announcing her new role in an interview with US Elle magazine (and hinting it at on her Twitter with the hashtag #stellaishere), Rose said she was "exploding with joy over here!!". The Orange is the New Black crew also officially welcomed her via their Twitter account, which has 656k followers.
Stella will join the inmates at Lichfield federal correctional institution as a love interest for both Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and Alex Vause (Laura Prepon).
We can't wait to see what the producers have pulled out of the bag for season three, but they revealed that Ruby's will play a character “whose sarcastic sense of humour and captivating looks quickly draw the attention of some of Litchfield’s inmates”.
Unfortunately, filming for the third season of Orange is the New Black is still taking place in the US, so you'll have to wait till later in 2015 to watch it!
