Over 600 gorgeous gay girls reveled in the celebratory atmosphere of g3’s Role Model Grand Final last Sunday night at the sumptuous Café de Paris. For the last six months, organisers, g3 magazine, Candy Bar and Gaydargirls.com have been holding monthly heats in their search to find the UK's top lesbian model.

 The 11 finalists strutted their stuff in three rounds; street wear, evening wear and sexy wear, and were grilled by celebrity judges including Amy Lamé, Lea Delaria and Ky Hoyle, who had the difficult job of deciding not only who they thought was the hottest model but also who would make a great role model. Lea Delaria made it her job to check out their arses as the girls paraded up the catwalk!

The surprise winner was Anna, who fast became the audience and judges first choice for her innocent yet self assured presence on the catwalk. The winner claimed: “On finding out the result, it was amazing, I can’t believe this has happened to me, I didn’t expect it at all.”
The Russian interior design student said: “I wanted to enter Role Model to challenge and push myself.” She was awarded with a £500 voucher from gaydartravel.com, a one-year modeling contract from Oxygen Model Management and a front cover in December’s g3 magazine.

Radio presenter and TV host Amy Lamé explained: “we chose Anna because she seemed like the gal who would get the most traditional modeling work from the prize. It was very tough- we all agreed the top 3 were superbly gorgeous, but Anna had great catwalk style and that won it for her.” She continued: “It was obvious Anna was a favourite with the audience- and who can blame them-pixie-ish blonde gals are just cute!”

Lesley Knowles, 21, won second place with the judges for her striking looks. In third place was the Londoner’s favourite, 20-year-old Claudia Tribe. She said that she hopes “to set trends for femmes!”

The audience were truly titillated by the high caliber and diversity of talent on show, going wild for their favourites and between rounds checking out the talent on the dancefloor to the sounds of DJ Slamma. Further live hot entertainment came from up and coming rock chick bands, The Cut Outs and Cheap Hotel - two bands surely destined for stardom given their incredibly sexy performances and the rapturous reception they received. The event was a resounding success and all the finalists did themselves more than proud and we imagine none will be short of admirers over the coming months!
