So just who will be having a Civil Partnership ceremony now that this important legislation has come through? Will it be long-established older couples or younger girls looking to say those sacrosanct words and make the ultimate commitment? G3 chats to 22-year-old DJ and Candy Bar Manager Naj Bueno and Fashion Design student and Hair and Make-up Artist Laura-Ann Steel, also 22, to discover their true-life love story and just why they want to tie the knot next year.
Naj: “I first noticed Laura at the Candy Bar on a karaoke night. I couldn’t believe my eyes and thought Laura was beautiful. I cheekily grabbed a handful of Laura’s ass one night just to make sure I had her attention!” Laura: “She had my attention all right, the sexy little Brazilian was rarely from my mind! However, there was no conversation between us for a while nor did we act on the sexual tension between us.” Naj: “I couldn't get enough of Laura’s attitude and her very Yorkshire ways, as she is originally from Sheffield. After weeks of flirting, I went home sick from work one Saturday night. However, I didn’t go home as I went straight to Laura’s. We had experienced a few heart pounding encounters before that night, but hadn’t yet kissed. As soon as Laura opened the door we locked jaws, I pushed her up against a wall and finally the sexual tension was broken. As Laura was having one of her 'hair cutting' nights, our steamy kiss was cut short, not that it didn’t continue later on.” Laura: “We had both recently got out of relationships so we weren’t really looking for anything serious. This didn’t stop us from calling on each other for a bit of the dirty whenever the mood was right. Actually the dirty was so good between us that it kept going for two months before the ‘exclusive’ issue came up. In fact, it was a result of us both falling for each other and soon we found ourselves in a full-blown whirlwind romance.” Naj: “We now live in Euston, London and we’ve spent a lot of time together making our home pretty and cosy. We’re equally supportive of the many ventures we both like to take on and together we enjoy cooking, creating, singing and playing with each other…guitar that is! We share many of the same goals and views and truly make a lovely couple and a sexy one too. With every day, we love each other more and more and nearly two years down the line we’re still going strong. We’re delighted with the breakthrough of the Civil Partnership laws coming into force this month and are hoping to tie the knot in the forthcoming year.” LINKS>> Gifts: Pink Products Civil Partnership invites, favours, confetti, cake tops and more!
