 Glamourpuss

Blush is hosting Glamourpuss and celebrating six years of serving the lesbian community in Stoke Newington on Saturday 20 May. The bar which is notorious for its birthday bashes, will be packed to the rafters. Organisers are urging party-goers to dress as glam as they dare and will be offering cocktails, free bubbly, buffet, cabaret and DJs. Entry to this exclusive event is by free invitation which can be obtained from Blush throughout this month.

Wild weeknights

Firmed Up and Flava have joined forces to bring more movers to the urban weeknight. Ladies can now shake it every Tuesday at Freedom Bar, Soho, to an all-girl resident line up playing r’n’b, hip-hop, house, garage and jungle. Free shots of alcohol (selected by the venue) are given away all night long, so what are you waiting for!?


Take a Break

Candy Bar Brighton is now taking advantage of its all-night license. The comfortable and intimate, yet vibrant venue is a great place to club ‘til you drop! So get more for your money, or alternatively, it’s the place to go if you’re thinking of taking an overnight break from London for some fun!


Boogaloo to you!

Shinky Shonky is now being held on the 2nd Friday of every month at Oak Bar. Joining host Boogaloo Stu onstage is the multi-dimensional comic visionary Miss High Leg Kick, the delightful naughty botty striptease artiste extraordinaire Princess Twinkle Knickers and special guest - poperatic sensation Le Gateau Chocolat. Expect a delightful mélange of your favourite top-pop sounds, old and new.


Misery

Not so shabby

Shibby Shabblers in Brighton’s Candy Bar celebrates its first birthday on Monday 29 May. Find your unique groove and be part of the debauched splendour! A polysexual night of joy for all the girls and boys in town! Featuring Three Pissed DJs playing indie-rocks, trashie-pop, retro-electro, punkypandamonium. Plus there will be cheap drinks promotions throughout the night.


 

Lounge comes early

Well established as a night of sophisticated tomfoolery for metrosexual women, Lounge at Teatro is perfect for the girl-about-town who wants to kick back and sip some gorgeous drinks with her equally gorgeous girl-cohorts, and possibly bring along some cheeky-chappy gay boys. The next Lounge will be held on Thursday 4 May and following that, Thursday 1 June. There will also be a special Birthday extravaganza on Thursday 6 July for their 5th Birthday.


Liberté is Back

Fans of Liberté, the r’n’b night for women, should know that the night will be moving to its new home at Southopia, 146-148 Newington Butts, London SE11 4RN, as of the end of May. DJ Nikki Lucas will be amongst the crowd who will be celebrating the club’s eighth birthday party this month but are yet to confirm the exact date – keep your ears pricked for date confirmation. 


 EuroPride comes to the capital

The European Pride Organisers Association have awarded the EuroPride licence for 2006 to London. The EuroPride festival will take place from 7th June until 30th June, with a parade through the streets of central London taking place on EuroPride Day, 1st July 2006. The EuroPride office has received an unprecedented number of float registrations since going on line just a few weeks ago. The team will call 'last orders' on 21st April for all float registrations in order to efficiently plan the biggest parade London has ever seen. Walking groups may register until the week before.
